8.2. Other WGs

It is important that as IMO you are involved in and aware of the various working groups and platforms present in your response. Examples of common working groups are provided below:

  • CWG

As an IMO your involvement and collaboration with the Cash Working Group will be context dependent. The CWG is active in most FSC responses, and it is important that the FSC has regular discussion with the CWG and that agreements on reporting are established and clear. Further details are available in the CC Handbook, chapter 4.3.4

  • NAWG

Depending on context, a Needs Analysis Working Group may be present, established and tasked with developing sound and reliable approaches to understanding and disseminating information on the needs within a response. Further details available in CC Handbook, chapter 5.3. In the absence of a FS assessment staff within the cluster, it is ether the cluster coordinator or the IMO (or both) who attends these meetings.
