The regularity of the 5Ws (or 3Ws etc) will be decided by the Clusters, CLAs and OCHA (or the overarching coordinating body). In an immediate scale-up, the 5Ws may be undertaken on a daily or weekly basis, however the most common reporting frequency is monthly, although quarterly and bi-annually is undertaken in specific cases. The pace of the operation and response will require a specific frequency to ensure data driven decision making. 

NOTE: greater frequency = more relevant information for decision making. However, a trade-off between frequency and time/ effort/ practicality for partners to provide the data exists, therefore, a compromise is required.
