Article Summary

Resource mobilisation is about fundraising for the humanitarian response, as outlined in the Flash Appeal or HRP . The purpose of this phase of the cycle is to ensure well- and timely funded activities, indicate collective funding priorities, raise visibility of a crisis, and maintain on-going dialogue with donors on the evaluation of needs, results achieved, and funding received.

What is the role of the FSC Coordinator? See details on the role of the Coordinator in resource mobilisation in chapter 8. Although listed as phase 4 of the HPC (i.e. after the needs analysis and response planning), resource mobilisation should take place throughout the year, as required by the context and funding situation.

Resources: See chapter 8.
