Since 2016 especially, there have been several key developments and growing trends in the humanitarian system, which are aimed at reshaping and strengthening the way the humanitarian coordination system operates overall at country level. This chapter looks at some of these: the Humanitarian-Development (Peace) Nexus, localisation and alternative approaches to decentralised coordination mechanisms.
